Our seventh grade English course includes both English and Literature. The English component further develop writing skills, and language usage creatively. The Literature component accentuates comprehension, critical analysis of a variety American as well world literature. Critical thinking and analytical skills are strengthened through interactive learning, group discussions and awareness of themselves in the global society.


Our Math 7 course is based on the Singapore method of instruction. Students focus on increasing their understanding of numbers and their relationships. Students expand their understanding of how and why math works through in real life through concrete examples, higher order thinking which involves active control over their cognitive processes through activities such as planning how to approach a given learning task, monitoring their own comprehension and progress.

Students in 7th grade covers:

  • Algebraic Expressions
  • Direct and Indirect Proportion
  • angle properties

Student will become proficient at solving equations and inequalities, graphing linear equations, problem solving. Polynomials, quadratic equations, algebraic fractions.

Social Studies

TCI History Alive

History Alive Curriculum helps students succeed in learning about history in a way that is fun and exciting. The TCI Approach consists of three main components: exciting learning activities, reading the textbook, and writing about what was learned in the interactive student notebooks. With the TCI Approach, students not only learn more, but also have fun!

The Medieval World and Beyond

The Medieval World and Beyond explores the legacy of civilizations from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to Asia and the Americas.

The Foss science curriculum:

  • Utilizes technology to deliver learning experiences

FOSS Middle School bridges research and practice by providing tools and strategies to engage students in meaningful experiences that lead to deeper understanding of the natural and designed world. The curriculum covers Earth and Environmental Science, natural science (Biology), Physics and chemistry through interactive and project based learning, and experimentation.

Physical Education

Strength and Conditioning

The design of the class concentrate on the fundamentals of strength and conditioning. The focus is on motor control, movement patterns, and proper form. Our PE program objective is instill in the students positive attitude towards and physical and mental health. The class is designed to increase strength, speed, power, and agility and gaining a competitive edge through workouts that are both physically and mentally challenging to prepare the students to compete at his/her highest level.


Sports Classes will be comprised of two to four week standard bases activity units. Sports include but not limited to: Soccer, Basketball, Volley Ball, Baseball, and badminton.

Aerobic Running

During their course of study, the JH students work to develop and fine tune a wide collection of dramatic tools including body language, eye contact, facial expression, gesture, language, tempo and voice.. Students have the opportunity to tell a story through performance, and critically analyze artistic work as they reflect upon their own personal connections Drama. The Drama class enhances creativity, improve self-esteem and develop collaborative work habits. They will eventually have the opportunity to perform in school play.
