Admission Policy

TUITION & FEES

 

Kindergarten-Grade 8

Enrollment Fees:

a) Registration Fee/ Books and supplies fees of $500 for each student (non-refundable). Due with enrollment forms

b) PE/Recreation Annual Fee of $300 (non-refundable). Due June 1st

c) Technology and Learning Resource Annual Fee of $300 (non-refundable). Due June 1st

d) Membership Fee per family based on Parent Agreement.

Tuition:

(1 Student) $7,900 per year, $790 per month for 10 month

(2 Students) $14,000 per year, $1400 per month for 10 month

(3 Students) $18,000 per year, $1800 per month for 10 month

High School 

Enrollment Fees:

a) Registration Fee $500 for each student (non-refundable). Due with enrollment forms

d) Books and Supplies (non-refundable) Due June 30th: 9th Grade $1,100 10th Grade $1,275 11th Grade $1,350 12th Grade $1,425

Tuition:

(1 Student) $8,900 per year, $890 per month for 10 month

FINANCIAL INCENTIVES:

 1) If you have an ECE or high school student and a second student in Elementary or Middle school, the second student will get an 8% sibling discount on tuition.

2) If full-year tuition is paid in 1 payment there will be a 5% discount applied to the tuition payment.

3) RISE Academy staff receive a 50% discount on their child(rens) tuition.

FINANCIAL AGREEMENT:

1) The full year tuition is due at registration. 10 monthly direct payments are an option for the convenience of parents. . Tuition is due in full regardless of whether the school is in session for every day of the whole month or not. Delinquent accounts will be charged a 5% transaction fee. Failure to meet monthly payments may result in the dismissal of students from RISE Academy.

2) $35 fee will be charged for returned checks and insufficient funds.

3) August tuition is non-refundable. . In the event of early withdrawal from school, tuition payments processed prior to withdrawal are non-refundable.

4)If a child is withdrawn before the end of the academic year, his/her family is responsible to give us at least 1 month’s notice, to avoid any scheduled charges. Thus notifying us (in writing) early of the intent to withdraw a child can save you money.

5) The Academy reserves the right to make changes in the fee and programs offered without prior notice. Such changes will be communicated to the parents in a written format.

ADMISSIONS POLICY

 

Applicants will be accepted on the following basis:

  • We are a community-based school. Children of the larger R.I.S.E. community who meet the admission criteria, will be given first consideration.
  • If space is available, any other applicant will be given consideration.
  • The administration will interview the families of the prospective student(s) to determine the commitment of parents and student(s) and the ability of the school to meet the individual needs of the candidate.
  • New students will be on probation throughout the school year. Students who do not meet academic and behavioral expectations as determined by the school administration will be asked to seek other educational situations and will not be permitted to remain at the Academy beyond a reasonable period of time to transition to another educational situation.

Academic Readiness

All prospective students are tested for academic and social readiness. This is determined by grade level results on placement/screening test given by the school, previous school performance as indicated by past report cards or formal progress reports and teacher evaluation.

Age

Kindergarten: student must be five (5) years old on or before September 1 of that year. Exceptions to general will be made on case-by-case basis and the Administration will make a final decision, at its sole discretion. For admission policies of children younger than five years old, please contact the Early Education office.

 

Children with Special Needs

Our Academy is a small private school with limited resources compared to the public schools and other larger private schools.  Public schools receive additional funding for students with special needs and hire specialized staff to serve their unique needs. If your child has special needs, we look forward to discussing the ability of our staff to adequately address and meet your child’s needs in a typical classroom setting.

The Academy does not have specialized facilities or personnel to work with students who have significant learning differences. The Academy will evaluate students with learning differences on a case-by-case basis with respect to the school’s ability to provide those students a quality education. While the Academy will make every effort to serve the needs of each student, the School may deny enrollment of a student if the school determines, at its sole discretion, that it cannot adequately serve the needs of the candidate.
