RISE Academy Upper School Clubs

At RISE, students propose, organize, and lead clubs that develop skills such as public speaking and debate, engage in community initiatives such as fundraising, or pursue interests such as art and hardware.

Speech Team

Founded by students with a passion for public speaking, the RISE Academy Speech Team has grown into a thriving program of twelve dedicated members and a full class period. Despite humble beginnings, our team has achieved remarkable success—earning awards at prestigious tournaments including UC Berkeley, MASQ, UCLA, Stanford, and James Logan, John Lewis and advancing to both the State Championship and national-level competitions. The team is coached year round by their Varsity team leaders who are students of RISE Academy.

Hardware Club

The Upper School Hardware Club is a student-led initiative bringing together middle and high school students who are passionate about the inner workings of technology. The club’s mission is to explore the different components and functions of computer hardware and understand how they connect to the broader field of computer science. Through hands-on projects, students gain practical experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading devices.

Fundraising Club

The Fundraiser Club embodies RISE Academy’s mission of faith, family, and community by transforming compassion into action. Each year, students lead food and clothing drives and host bake sales to support communities in need around the world. Through service and collaboration, members strengthen their faith, leadership, and sense of global responsibility—living out the values of empathy, justice, and generosity that define RISE Academy.
